Meet Eva
I had my first experience of Taylor Woodrow through three enriching summer placements as part of the ICE QUEST Scholarship scheme. Working for Taylor Woodrow during my university summers served as a fantastic introduction to the business, allowing me to forge connections with colleagues and acquire invaluable engineering experience.
Upon graduating and transitioning to a full-time role at Taylor Woodrow, I have been fortunate to work on the HS2 project as a Design Coordinator and then a Site Engineer. Driven by an enthusiasm to achieve Chartered status and guided by the support of my Taylor Woodrow supervising Civil Engineer, I spent one year on a design secondment at Mott MacDonald.
More recently I have joined the Business Development team at Taylor Woodrow’s head office. My favourite thing about working for Taylor Woodrow is the variety of experience and skills you can obtain. Variation is so important, especially at the start of your career as it can help to determine long term goals and specialisation. Diverse experience is equally essential on the path to Chartership. I am grateful to Taylor Woodrow for providing me with a great foundation for my civil engineering career.
Meet Joe
I first joined Taylor Woodrow back in 2017 as an ICE Quest Scholar, and throughout my scholarship, I had the opportunity to undertake a range of placements during my degree, each giving me exposure to different roles and experiences, providing me with a wide range of skills to take back to university and beyond.
I’ve since joined as a graduate and over the last 2 years I’ve worked on some great projects including HS2 Old Oak Common Station and Meridian Water, which have given me the opportunity to develop as an engineer, building on my knowledge gained at university and on placement as well as providing me with the skills and experience to face challenges head on. Overall, this has helped me complete my Engineering Development Scheme (EDS) and progress into my current role as a Site Engineer.
After 7 years of being with Taylor Woodrow, their core values are still as important as they were back in 2017, and they really make the company a great place to work. I couldn't recommend Taylor Woodrow highly enough to anyone considering applying!
