Part of the Future High Street Fund, this project will see the town centre transformed into an attractive, versatile and vibrant public space with improved pedestrian access.

St Neots is Cambridgeshire's largest and fastest growing town and this project involves improvements to Market Square, the High Street and Town Bridge.

Market Square will be enhanced by removing car parking and creating an open community space, benefitting from new landscaping, surfacing and street furniture to become a part of the town that people want to spend time in. The square will be expanded, and new disabled parking spaces will be created along the south side. Improved facilities for the 1000-year-old charter market will help safeguard its future and encourage growth.

Improvements will also be made along the High Street and Town Bridge, with a new pedestrian crossing at Huntingdon Street, widening of footpaths, and surface replacement and repair throughout to improve the pedestrian experience, particularly for those less able or who use mobility aids.
