Delivering Faster, Smarter Travel Across Birmingham & Solihull
Construction for Sprint Phase 2 in Birmingham and Solihull started in September 2024. Work includes installing Sprint bus shelters, bus priority measures at traffic lights, installation of new bus lanes and highway improvements.
- The phase of works along Hobs Moat Road will see installation of new drainage systems, reconstruction of footpaths widening of the carriageway, a new controlled pedestrian crossing point and the installation of new Sprint bus shelters.
- The phase of works along Coventry Road will see new drainage systems installed, pedestrian crossing upgrades, widening of the carriage way and the installation of new Sprint bus shelters.
- The phase of works along Lode Lane in Solihull will see drainage improvements, installation of new traffic signals as well as upgraded street lighting, a new bus lane and a new controlled pedestrian crossing. Works will be carried out to upgrade bus shelters and install a new signalled bus gate.
- The phase of work along the A34 Walsall Road, Birmingham will see the installation of new drainage, paving and the installation of new Sprint bus shelters.
