Creative engineering solutions
Supporting clients through the development and design phase of infrastructure projects, we take the time to understand your needs and priorities and use our expert knowledge and wealth of practical experience to provide the right solution.
Taylor Woodrow has been delivering complex engineering solutions for over 100 years. Our dedicated Engineering Services team use our expertise in constructing major infrastructure projects to provide the right solution for you. We offer advice and develop solutions in the following areas:
Project Strategy: Using our extensive Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) experience, we will work with you to advise on and help develop the best technical and commercial strategy for your project.
Optioneering: Working analytically and systematically, we will help you to consider all possible options for your project to identify the right solution to develop.
Buildability: We will make sure that your design is fit for construction. Our wealth of practical experience means that we can advise on potential methods, constraints and interfaces to bring designs to life.
Logistics: We will determine the supply and delivery of resources, plant and materials necessary to construct your project, for example is there sufficient space for material and plant storage, just in time delivery or is an off-site logistics hub needed?
Planning & Programming: We will challenge your existing programme to make sure that it is the right one; planning the right method, sequence and resources for successful delivery.
Alternative Design Solutions: Using the knowledge that we have gained through constructing complex infrastructure projects, we will challenge existing designs and develop alternative solutions for your project.
Cost Estimating: We will review and develop cost estimates and budgets for your project, benchmarking against similar ‘as-built’ projects to ensure that you are working with the best possible information.
Digital Engineering: Fully BSI accredited to BIM Level 2, our services include 3D and 4D modelling, laser scan surveys, and surveys using drones and remote monitoring using advanced techniques.
Temporary works: We will use our in-house capability to develop practical solutions for complex works including bridge launches / slides, basements, formwork, falsework, working platforms, scaffold and access.
