White Hart Lane Station

White Hart Lane Station

White Hart Lane is of a poor standard, offering very limited passenger facilities, the station environment is poor and accessibility is limited (no step-free access). The surrounding area is neglected, identified by the borough as a hotspot for anti-social behaviour and criminal activity. The committed development of White Hart Lane stadium will place additional pressure on the station and the surrounding area as stadium capacity increases.

The White Hart Lane Station Upgrade aims to fulfil this need by creating a new station entrance and a new ticket hall south of the current station building. This will allow for improved passenger flows by providing step-free access to the centre of the platforms as well as creating an opportunity for community activity within the area.

Key features of the works are:

  • A new Station Building to the South of the existing station at a more central location along the platform that will support both the redevelopment of the Tottenham Hotspur FC stadium and London Borough of Haringey High Road West Plan.
  • Urban Realm works to the station forecourt and surrounding area
  • An underpass through the existing viaduct that will allow access to both sides of the railway
  • Decommissioning and demolition of the existing station.
