Launch of our Social Value Strategy

Our people make a difference to society through the infrastructure that we build and the added social value that we create along the way.

We have been delivering social value for over 40 years, as one of the first construction companies to have both a graduate and an apprencticeship scheme. We have also been winning awards for our diversity programme since 2009.

Over the past few years the importance of social value has increased, particularly since the Public Services (Social Value) Act came into force in 2012.

Formalising our Social Value Strategy enables us to capture all of the great work we are already doing and challenge ourselves to do more.

Our goal is to create a tangible, positive legacy for communities, the environment and future generations by focussing on four key strategies; community legacy, local expertise, carbon and biodiversity.

Our Social Value Strategy is now an active document within our business, with more information to be added to our website when it gets a revamp later this year.
