Filton Bank Team Recognised with ICE Award

Congratulations to Taylor Woodrow’s Filton Bank team for receiving the Institution of Civil Engineers’ South West Region Award for ‘Project over £3m re-engineered’.

This Network Rail flagship projects unlocked the potential of the wider network to deliver the new Intercity Express Programme. The project has been delivered in a congested and constrained rail corridor, surrounded by numerous urban neighbours and a multitude of stakeholders. A significant bottleneck in Bristol’s national rail network was removed by increasing the number of tracks from two to four between Dr Day’s Junction (Bristol Temple Meads) and Filton Abbey Wood Station.

Richard Hogg, Project Director said: “To receive this award is a fantastic achievement, and for everyone’s hard work and dedication to be recognised by the ICE it makes me feel immensely proud to be part of the Filton Bank Team, and for what we have collectively delivered over the past 5 years.”
