Taylor Woodrow hosts an Inspiration Evening at the ICE

Change is all around us, from the big picture issues such as Brexit right down to project level issues such as changing requirements, outputs and priorities.

The Taylor Woodrow team recently held an event exploring the skillsets that we as individuals and businesses need to manage ourselves when faced with change, and how we can keep ourselves and our teams on course when factors that are frequently outside of our control look like taking us off course.

The evening was held at the Institution of Civil Engineers, where the team was joined by a panel of experts who led the conversation on the role of leadership, collaboration and resilience in adapting to change.

Professor Tim Broyd is the current President of the Institution of Engineers and has substantial experience as corporate director of technology, innovation, knowledge management and sustainability for globally operating engineering design consultancies. Russell Lewis spent 20 years in the British Army and trains large, multinational corporations in leadership, coaching and high performance team building. Dr Jan Peters MBE is a change agent and catalyst addressing inclusion in engineering and technology.

Fred Garner, Rail Sector Director said Over 100 guests from Taylor Woodrow, our clients, supply chain came along and we were pleased that students of the Built Environment from Newham College were also able to join us for some fresh insight into what is a hot topic for the industry. The diverse perspectives of the speakers meant that there was something for everyone and the evening was a great success.
