Stuart, Senior Geotechnical Engineer

I support tenders and projects in terms of the relationship between the ground conditions and the building structures. My responsibilities include reducing risk and providing cost savings and advice, through the production of geotechnical reports.

I enjoy the mix of working alone and in teams, and the variation that the job entails. In particular, the range of projects that Taylor Woodrow are involved in means that no project is the same.

I previously spent 7 years working offshore for geophysical and geotechnical surveying vessels. My most interesting experience was during a storm period in the North Sea with 15m high waves, which coincided with a cracked hull, flooded bulk stores, and lost power to the engines!
