We have pledged our support to a new initiative in the capital designed to encourage smarter working practices - Work Wise London.
Launched earlier in the month at the BT Tower, the Work Wise London campaign’s first task is a research project to find out the current level of smarter and flexible working (including travel demand management, flexible, remote, mobile, teleworking and annualised hours) across the capital.
The campaign is part of Work Wise UK - a not-for-profit initiative aiming to make the UK one of the most progressive economies in the world.
As well as Taylor Woodrow, Work Wise London already has organisations on board such as: BT, Transport for London, Work Wise UK, the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with announcements of several others expected in the coming months.
Richard Sykes, our executive director said: "We are committed to supporting the Work Wise London campaign. For me, smart working is about improving business performance, rethinking the workplace and ad.oeming technology to optimise the use of property. It is also about facilities management services centred on people to improve productivity with a better quality of working life."
Our facilities management business has responsibility for over 2,000 commercial premises across the UK, Ireland and extending into Europe, including customers such as AXA, Chevron Texaco, Dixons Store Group (DSGi), Nationwide, O2, RAC and Total,. It has also joined forces with Liverpool John Moores University to launch a major research project into the strategic value of integrated FM services.
