Victoria Wharf

The award winning Victoria Wharf project is a prestigious multi-storey development on Cardiff Bay and is the largest residential development we have undertaken in Wales.

As part of the Cardiff International Sports Village, the mixed use development is being completed in 3 phases in blocks of between 6 and 14 storeys, providing a total of 479 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments.

The project has won the NHBC UK Supreme Award - Multistorey Category in 2005 and 2006 - a true testament to the highest quality standards that are being delivered.

The early appointment of the steelwork supplier ensured that the M&E team had the opportunity to co-ordinate design details with steelwork fabrication drawings, ahead of factory production, thus ensuring that the builders work was co-ordinated to ensure optimum efficiency in spatial design, without unnecessary protrusions into the apartments and the like.

All builders work was fully co-ordinated into the building frames to ensure that any risers or holes required in the structural steelwork were delivered with the fabrication.

Following an earlier initiative, the domestic boilers were again prefabricated off site with demonstrable gains in productivity installing the various services in the boiler cupboards.
