BAA Framework

Work at Heathrow Airport Enlarge Work at Gatwick Airport Enlarge

We have been one of BAA's Construction Managers since 1996, appointed under a framework agreement to support their long term development strategies.

Gatwick Airport

Our major recent activity has been the completion of the Gatwick Piers Segregation Projects to segregate arriving and departing passengers on Piers 2 and 3 along with structural works for the South Terminal Arrivals Extension.

The Piers Segregation Projects were completed to tight timescales to meet dates imposed upon BAA by the DfT. One of the key tools we used to achieve this was Earned Value Analysis (EVA), which has since been instrumental in new project controls being rolled out by BAA across other projects.

Heathrow Airport

Recent work has focused on the extension to the Arrivals Hall at Terminal 3 (T3AX) and multi-storey car-park refurbishment.

The T3AX extension and re-modelling of the Arrivals concourse included construction of a baggage hall and facility, A380 and standard carousels, shop relocations / decant, reconfiguration of security zones, infrastructure upgrades, and refurbishment / partial upgrade of the existing carousels and hall.
