This job entails running a construction site, right from the beginning of work through to the project’s successful completion. Clearly, it’s a huge responsibility, and can be pressurised at times – but it’s also extremely rewarding. Construction managers usually have a broad experience across a wide range of different building projects.
One of our students tells us a little about what Taylor Woodrow are like:
Chris Moss, 3rd year Civil Engineering & Construction Management Student
“I spent my third placement working for Taylor Woodrow in Toronto, working on
two forty-storey tower blocks. This gave me the chance to see how the industry
works in another country and explore a different part of the world. I got to do a fair
bit of skiing too! Once you’ve graduated the training scheme is very structured and
you have the opportunity to work with the best people in the business.”
