Civil engineering is a massively broad-ranging profession. Engineers get involved in a diverse variety of design and construction projects. It’s vital work that impacts on the lives of everyone. Many engineers go on to specialise in certain areas: highways and water engineering are just two examples.
One of our undergraduates lets us in on how Taylor Woodrow are supporting him:
Chris Moss
3rd year Civil Engineering & Construction Management Student, Leeds Metropolitan University
“I spent my third placement working for Taylor Woodrow in Toronto, working on
two forty-storey tower blocks. This gave me the chance to see how the industry
works in another country and explore a different part of the world. I got to do a fair
bit of skiing too! Once you’ve graduated the training scheme is very structured and
you have the opportunity to work with the best people in the business.”
