What qualifications do I need to join the scheme?

You’ll need (or be expecting to gain) GCSEs in English and Maths and at least 240 A/AS level points or equivalent.

What happens when I finish the course?

If you’ve been successful, you’ll be offered a place on Taylor Woodrow’s industry-leading Graduate Programme.

Where will I be working?

As we’ll be aiming to build your skills across a wide range of construction programmes, you could be working on projects anywhere in the UK.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be working with experienced professionals, learning all aspects of your role. Make no mistake though, we’ll expect you to take real responsibility as early as possible – though of course, you will have full support every step of the way.

What degree can I study?

Relevant degree subjects are Quantity Surveying and Construction Managers

When do I need to apply?

We take on trainees in September each year, and we need you have received your application by the end of April.

Do I have a choice between day release and block release?

No. Trainee quantity surveyors study on day-release, while trainee construction managers initially study for a HNC on block-release, then transfer to day-release to complete their degrees.

Are you only looking for young people?

Absolutely not. In fact, we’re looking for people of all ages and from all backgrounds to launch their careers with us.

Do I receive a staff discount?

Yes. From day one, you can take advantage of a staff discount when buying a Taylor Woodrow house.

What happens once I apply?

We’ll review your application to make sure it meets our criteria for the scheme. Then, if you are shortlisted, you’ll be invited for an assessment day.

What does the assessment day consist of?

There’s plenty to keep you busy! As well as a presentation about Taylor Woodrow, there’ll be verbal and numerical reasoning tests, interviews and the opportunity to have your questions answered.
